Delegates from MUNARJÍ

History

For the past eighteen years, MUNARJÍ has been proudly organized by Colegio Arjí in Tabasco as part of its commitment to holistic education and global citizenship. It was the first Model United Nations conference in Southeast Mexico and remains a benchmark in academic simulation and student leadership.

What began as a local educational initiative has grown into a nationally and internationally recognized event that welcomes students from schools across Mexico and abroad.

MUNARJÍ provides middle and high school students with a space to explore complex global issues, take on the role of UN delegates, and engage in structured debates following official Model UN procedures.

Through this immersive experience, participants develop critical skills such as public speaking, negotiation, cooperation, and ethical decision-making—while MUNARJÍ reflects the core values that guide our institution: respect, honesty, and responsibility, strengthening cultural identity and embracing diversity.

More than a simulation, MUNARJÍ is a platform to shape responsible citizens and empower future leaders committed to human dignity, social justice, and global peace.

Titanium Implantable Ports

MUNARJÍ XVIII Cause

In the fight against childhood cancer, every detail matters. Babies and children at Hospital Regional de Alta Especialidad Dr. Rodolfo Nieto Padrón (Hospital del Niño) face intense treatments such as chemotherapy that challenge their bodies and spirits.

Titanium implantable ports make each therapy safer, gentler, and more humane by giving medical teams a reliable way to care for them.

What is an implantable port?

It is a central venous catheter placed under the skin and connected to a main vein. With it, children no longer need to be punctured repeatedly to receive their medications; the port becomes a durable access point for their entire treatment.

Why does it matter?

  • Protects fragile veins from damage caused by repeated needle sticks.
  • Reduces pain significantly during every procedure.
  • Gives medical teams a safer, more efficient workflow.
  • Endures up to 3,000 uses with special Huber needles.
  • Offers a lifespan of up to five years.
  • Helps avoid wasting expensive medications.

Who benefits the most?

The port is especially indicated for children with cancer who require continuous intravenous therapies such as:

  • Chemotherapy that would otherwise damage their veins.
  • Intravenous antibiotics.
  • Parenteral nutrition.
  • Analgesics for ongoing pain management.

What makes it special?

The device we will donate is made of medical-grade titanium—small, resistant, and ideal for delicate bodies. It includes a silicone catheter, a Huber needle, and components approved by the Mexican Ministry of Health. Neonatal and pediatric versions are designed especially for the youngest patients.

How can you help?

During the MUNARJÍ event you can support this cause by purchasing a raffle ticket for only $50 MXN, available the same day. Every peso raised will fund new implantable ports for the oncology area at Hospital Regional de Alta Especialidad Dr. Rodolfo Nieto Padrón (Hospital del Niño).
